Hazel

Hazel-baby was truly a gem. When in partnership with her sister Elke, they were affectionately known as "Chaos" and "Mayhem."

Hazel was a full littermate to Drake, Elke, and Gennie. Her dam was Sunshine and her sire was CH. Londonderry Boss Tweed.

Hazel brought to Red Brick breeding program her wonderful rib, brisket, and body type, and maintained the integrity of a headpiece that descended from Tonka (CH. Charjo's Blaze on Broadway.) Her offspring from her first litter included Corey and Carmen. Carmen recently had a singleton puppy named "Trip" who was born on December 27th, 2008. Trip is a Hazel grandson who will carry on the legacy of his Grand Dam Hazel here at Red Brick.

Hazel was spayed in 2005 and was spending her retirement in a very, very relaxed fashion. She succumbed to congestive heart failure and passed away quietly in her sleep.

We miss Hazel everyday, but the knowledge that her relatives and offspring are here with us helps to keep her memory alive each day.
