Lyra

“Lyra” had an interesting life, since she left us as a young pup and returned to us again after Christmas 1997. Lyra was a sweet and happy Bulldog. She loved nothing more than to have your undivided attention, nothing more than to play. Lyra was supposed to be a show dog, but had an unfortunate injury, which after major surgery had left her with a permanent limp in her left front leg. That was okay with us, since she truly lights up a room and could really make your day if you were feeling down. It was almost as if the pain she endured had made her more happy-go-lucky.

Lyra was a Piper daughter, and a litter sister to Sunshine and Stoli. She has left her mark on the Red Brick breeding program as three of her daughters are still with us.

Lyra enjoyed full retirement with a family in Philadelphia and was the belle of Philadelphia cafe society.

Much thanks and love to our friend Luanne for providing Lyra with a super home and tons of attention right up until the time Lyra passed away in January 2006 at 9 years of age.
